Planned Giving
Leave a Legacy of Support for ZACH Theatre
A planned or deferred gift is a meaningful way to leave a legacy of support. With thoughtful planning, you have the opportunity to make a significant gift that will benefit the future of ZACH Theatre – one of the ten original regional theaters in America. A planned gift may also help you achieve certain personal financial goals, particularly with regard to tax planning and management.
Once you have made a planned gift to ZACH, you will join ZACH’s Encore Legacy Circle. In appreciation of your support, throughout our seasons, ZACH is pleased to offer the following benefits:
- Invitations to behind the scenes theatre tours and events with ZACH leadership
- Acknowledgement in printed program for a Mainstage production
Ways to Make a Planned Gift:
Bequests – Include ZACH Theatre as a beneficiary in your will or trust to receive all or a portion of your assets including personal property or real estate.
Sample Bequest Language: I give ZACH Theatre (TAX ID# 74-1369410), ________(specify amount, percentage of estate, or specific property) to be used for its general purposes.
Beneficiary Designation – Designate ZACH Theatre as a beneficiary to receive gifts through IRAs, 401K plans, or life insurance policies. Contact us to receive a beneficiary recipient form.
IRA Giving – If you are 70½ years of age or older you can transfer directly from your IRA to ZACH without realizing any taxable income. For those age 72 and older, this charitable transfer can also satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). It is essential that this transfer be made directly from the IRA to ZACH to count as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Please consult your IRA custodian and tax advisor for information on making a distribution and its impact on your unique situation.
Please contact Cathleen Berdan, Director of Development at cberdan@zachtheatre.org for more information on any of these planned giving opportunities.
