ZACH North Community Arts School (Grades 6th through 12th)

We are currently offering daytime Performing Arts classes for homeschool students. Classes are registered individually and include Musical Theatre, Acting, Improv, Voice Acting, Technical Theatre and more! Classes run Mondays-Thursdays during the hours of 12-3:30pm.

For our students that want to participate in a production, we are offering both a Musical Theatre Production Class where the students will perform a musical theatre revue and a One-Act Play class where students will put on a fully produced One-Act Play performance for an audience. 

*There is also an option to pay full tuition and attend as many classes as you’d like. With full tuition, you also get a desk area on campus and the ability to stay with us for the day from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. if you are enrolled in an accredited online school.

Classes and Camps

Year round of camps and classes that teach acting and musical theatre skills to students ages 3.5-18

North Acting Conservatory (Grades 9th-12th)

An advanced training program for student grades 9th-12th grade with a focus on prepping for auditioning for college. 

Breakdown of programming:

  • Year 1 & 2 – Fundamentals, ensemble based work, monologues &  scene study. 
    • 2nd semester they work towards a performance opportunity
  • Year 3 – Shakespeare, Monologue Prep and Film, & Audition Material
    • 2nd semester they work on a Shakespeare show 
  • Seniors – College prep and auditions semester 1
    • Preparing and filming pre-screen auditions to submit to colleges
    • Trip to Houston and Chicago Unified Auditions
    • 2nd semester they work towards a performance opportunity

 

Acting Company (Grades 5th -8th)

The Acting Company is a one year program during the school year that provides training and performance opportunities for middle school students who want to deepen their acting and performance skills. Through the Fall semester, students will receive weekly training by professional actors and directors, and will apply those skills in a fully-produced show during the Spring semester. 

 

Improv Troupe (Grades 3rd -10th)

Students put their improv skills to the test by creating an ensemble, learning the narrative structure and mastering well-loved improv games.  This class culminates in an Improv Showcase for family and friends as well as a public show for the community. This year-long program includes training in improv and performance opportunities at ZACH and around town!

 

ZACH North Musical Theatre (Grades 5th through 12th)

The ZACH North Musical Theatre program is a one year program during the school year that provides students the opportunity to learn musical theatre skills with a select group in voice, dance, acting and performance. These students will take weekly skills based classes in the fall. In the Spring, students will be able to show off the skills learned in a musical theatre revue at the end of the year in a large performance venue up north!
