ZACH Academy FAQ
Yes, ZACH Academy requires all students to apply and audition after an information session with the student and a parent/guardian. To set up an information session, please submit an inquiry. If you have already had an information session and are interested in applying for ZACH Academy, please submit your ZACH Academy Application/Audition Form. After submitting your application, we will contact you to set up an audition appointment.
Students are not required to be on campus for academic hours. For example, Students have the option to attend virtual academic classes at home, they can also travel. ZACH is providing the “Home-base,” community, professional staff, and additional performing arts classes.
If you have already had an information session and are interested in applying for ZACH Academy, please submit your ZACH Academy Application/Audition Form. After submitting your application, we will contact you to set up an audition appointment. Auditions will be in person, and the requirements are below. Specific instructions and audition times will be provided individually.
Acting Track | Two contrasting 1 min. Monologues
Dance Track | Live dance call (Ballet, Jazz, tap combination). If you would like to audition for an advanced level, then please prepare a 30-60 second dance combination in a style of your choice.
Musical Theatre Track | Two contrasting 1 min. monologues; Live dance call (Ballet and Jazz); and Two contrasting songs (32 bar cuts with live accompaniment provided)
In person auditions are preferred, but a virtual audition can be arranged by submitting the ZACH Academy Application/Audition Form.
Students are enrolled in at least 5 core performing arts classes Monday through Friday. When students are not in performing arts classes, they are in ZACH Academy’s on-campus learning environment with an Academic Supervisor 9am-4pm on Monday through Thursday.

During performing arts classes, our skilled Teaching Artists are instructing and supervising students. During academic time, the Academy Supervisor, oversees classroom spaces and helps students navigate self-directed learning by cultivating time management and prioritization skills.
Yes! ZACH Academy is accepting rolling admissions. However, we advise starting at the beginning of a semester. For more information, please fill out this Interest Form.
Aside from the locations, both campuses offer academic excellence with an Academic Advisor in the room, individualized performing arts training, and a focus on college readiness. The two campuses provide multiple Dance, Voice and Acting classes per week taught by skilled Teaching Artists, alongside opportunities for private dance and voice lessons. The Downtown Campus curriculum offers an Advanced Dance Track as well as access to the Downtown ZACH Theatre facilities. The North Campus curriculum offers smaller class sizes and advanced acting classes as well as other valuable arts education courses such as Mindfulness, Playwriting, Directing, Script Analysis, and Business of Acting.
