Acting Conservatory (Grade 9 to 12)

The Acting Conservatory, formally the College Bound Conservatory, is a multi-year program for high school students who have a serious desire to pursue an in depth training experience in acting. The goal of the program is to provide students with the professional acting training, resume experience, and audition preparation needed in order to pursue a life in the theatre–whether that be as an actor, director, writer, teacher, or dramaturge. Each year of the program, conservatory members receive:

  • Two semesters of an advance level acting classes taught by professional actors and directors
  • 5 to 6 master-class opportunities ranging from film to stage combat to talk backs with ZACH’s main stage actors and directors
  • Individualized career and college counseling
  • One guaranteed performance opportunity on one of ZACH’s stages during the summer

We are currently auditioning rising Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors for spots in their corresponding years. To sign up for an audition click here.

Audition Requirements:
Please prepare a one-minute memorized monologue from a play and be prepared to talk about why you would like to be a part of the Acting Conservatory. There will also be a short ensemble audition at the top of each audition hour where students will take part in a few acting exercises as a group.
