The valuable networking opportunities here in Austin’s thriving artistic community are a significant benefit. Internship lengths vary from 10-12 weeks to semester or even yearlong experiences. Each internship is unique to the specific department’s and student’s needs. ZACH is always looking for great candidates to fill our internship positions. Internship Overview –The ZACH Theatre Costume Design Internship provides professional training and education in practical costume experience for college students and recent graduates. Through mentor guidance, one-on-one instruction, practicum, and networking with other professionals, interns will gain knowledge, skills and abilities as well as experience in taking part in a professional production in the wardrobe. department. Internship Overview – The ZACH Theatre Development/Arts Administration Internship provides professional training to college students and recent graduates who are interested in a career in non-profit fundraising and/or arts administration. Interns will gain a working knowledge of the Development function within a performing arts organization and will learn basic nonprofit fundraising skills associated with donor relations and event planning. The Intern works closely with the Development Events Manager and Individual Giving Manager to learn and support the management of special events, growth and maintenance of donor relationships, benefit fulfillment, and gift processing. The Intern will also have the opportunity to learn about other areas of arts administration based on interest. Summer Internship Overview – The Theatre Education Administrative Intern will learn what it takes to run a professional education program in an artistic environment. The Administrative Intern will manage our extended-care program, help facilitate beginning and end of day and assist in the daily tasks of our office. Some classroom time will be assigned. Summer camp runs June 4 through August 17. Applications due March 1, 2018.
Summer Internship Overview – ZACH’s Performing Arts School Teaching Internship provides professional training and educational opportunities to college students and recent graduates interested in becoming teaching artists in theatre. Through mentoring, peer feedback and in-class practicum, interns gain experience in classroom-management, curriculum design and development, and instruction for students ages 3.5-18 in a nationally-acclaimed regional theatre setting. Summer camp runs June 4 through August 17. Applications due March 1, 2018.
Internship Overview – The ZACH Theatre Stage Management Intern will assist and work closely with the lead Stage Manager of the production to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities associated with Stage Management in a professional regional theatre. Currently closed.
Internship Overview –The ZACH Theatre Wardrobe Crew Internship provides professional training and education in practical wardrobe experience for college students and recent graduates. Through mentor guidance, one-on-one instruction, practicum, and networking with other professionals, interns will gain knowledge, skills and abilities as well as experience in taking part in a professional production in the wardrobe department. Interns will be paired up with current wardrobe employees to shadow and run a wardrobe track during performances. Closed for the 2017-18 Season.
